Northstar was retained to provide roof access via a 45’ Freestanding Stair Tower for multiple trade use, enabling safe and secure roof access. Built to comply with Ministry of Labour regulations, as an unsupported structure, free standing towers require specific engineering as they are not tied into the structures that they are providing access too. Freestanding towers are often an important part of commercial warehouse builds to allow for mechanical access between the stair tower and the wall ensuring continues project wall finishing and precast system progress.
