Exciting Expansion: Welcoming Altitude Equipment to the Northstar Access Team

We’re thrilled to announce the acquisition of Altitude Equipment, a premier suspended scaffolding (aka swing stage) rental, sales, and service provider in Southern Ontario. With over a hundred swing stages serving customers across the GTA from top-tier equipment suppliers, Altitude Equipment brings extensive industry expertise and new growth opportunities to our Toronto operations and beyond.

Mike and Joe Van Volsen, who have successfully led Altitude Equipment for many years, along with their skilled team of mechanics and drivers, have officially joined the Northstar Access team. This combination boosts our total swing stage inventory in Toronto to ~250units, enhancing our ability to meet the evolving access needs of our customers.

This marks our 2nd acquisition of 2024, following the integration of Access Rigging in Ottawa in the spring. As we continue expanding across Canada, we remain committed to strengthening our business, creating new growth opportunities, and delivering top-tier access solutions nationwide.
